This is the standard DC motor found in the GM2 GM3 GM8 and GM9 gear motors from Solarbotics. It comes with an 8-tooth pinion gear and motor replacement is a snap! The RM3 can even be used to replace the higher-current FA-130 motors in many of the Tamiya gearboxes.

This is the standard DC motor found in the GM2 GM3 GM8 and GM9 gear motors from Solarbotics. It nominally runs at 6 V and consumes roughly 35 mA free running and roughly 800 mA at stall. If you˙ve worn out the motor in the GM2/3/8/9 replacing the gear motor is easy ? just remove the motor retainer strap press the included pinion gear onto the new motor shaft and reinstall ? that˙s it!
